Diary of a digitally immersed young person

After school, I try to do at least one exercise class before I start my homework. There are so many different classes to choose from online. The only problem is that my baby brother gets in the way, so I let him play with my phone. He’s learned quickly how to find the videos he likes.

Ever since Mum was diagnosed with diabetes a couple of years ago, she has become determined to keep us all fit and healthy. She’s taught me about nutritious food and the importance of staying active. I use my watch and phone to track my activity levels and how to monitor how I’m feeling.

If I don’t do my homework or chores, my Dad might threaten to switch the WIFI off. That would be a disaster! It’s important to chat with my friends and I like to update them on what I’ve been doing. My friends and I talk all the time about how we shouldn’t compare ourselves to influencers online, but I still want to make sure that I look my best in selfies. It makes me so happy when people like my photos. Sometimes there are mean comments, but I try to ignore them.
