Professor Ran Balicer (@RanBalicer) is a public health physician executive and researcher, and serves as Chief Innovation Officer for Clalit, Israel’s largest healthcare organisation. He also serves as Founding Director of the Clalit Research Institute, the WHO Collaborating Center on NCDs Research Prevention and Control. In these roles, he is responsible for planning and execution of innovative large-scale population interventions for improving healthcare delivery and effectiveness while reducing disparities. Prof Balicer serves as Public Health Professor at the Ben-Gurion University, Israel. His research focuses on the study of extensive clinical databases in care provision and policymaking. Since 2020, Prof. Balicer serves as Chair of the Israeli Government Expert Advisory Panel on COVID-19 response.
