Yasmina Benslimane (@yasbenslimane) is a young human rights activist with a multicultural background. Ms Benslimane holds a BA in Political Science and Communication from Saint Louis University – Madrid Campus and a MA in International Law and the Settlement of Disputes from the United Nations Mandated University for Peace. She is currently pursuing her second MA in Forced Migration and Refugee Protection Studies with the School of Advanced Studies, University of London.
Yasmina has coached young people through public speaking into developing their skills for leadership. She speaks on social and global issues, particularly on topics related to political participation, youth & women empowerment, migration, and peacebuilding. She has founded Politics4Her, a feminist youth-led movement and blog that breaks stereotypes, helps women grow more informed, and encourages active participation in civil society. Her professional experience includes humanitarian work, international and nonprofit organisations, as well as UN agencies such as UNESCO, IOM, UNHCR, and UNDP.
