Dr Emanuele Capobianco

Dr Emanuele Capobianco (@ecapobianco) is the former Deputy Executive-Director of the Partnership for Maternal Newborn and Child Health. Before this role, he had worked at the Global Fund as Senior Policy Advisor in the Office of the Executive Director, leading the development of the 2017-2022 Global Fund Strategy and providing strategic and technical advice on critical policy. Dr Capobianco was also the Chief of Health and Nutrition in UNICEF Mozambique, where he worked for four years to advance health outcomes for Mozambican children and women. Furthermore, he worked at the World Bank as Senior Health Specialist, managing a large portfolio of grants, particularly in South Asia and Eastern Africa, and at the WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean, promoting the STOP TB partnership in the Middle East. He holds a Medical Degree from Pavia University, a Master in Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and an MSc in Humanitarian Assistance from Rome University.
